"You're the forward deployed engineer for a legal-AI vendor. A large US law firm's commercial group reviews hundreds of vendor contracts a month for its corporate clients: software subscriptions, data processing, outsourcing. Each client has its own playbook of preferred positions, fallbacks and walk-away points. Associates spend hours finding clauses and checking them against the playbook. The practice-group leader wants a first-pass review that marks every deviation and proposes a redline, each with a citation a partner can check in seconds. The general counsel and the CISO have two conditions: client documents never leave the firm's environment, and no lawyer sees another client's matter through the tool.
